Cycle is inspired by the rhythm that exists throughout nature. The orbiting of planets. The changing seasons. The phases of the moon. The movement of life.

The overlapping forms reflect the idea that nothing stays the same forever, even as it repeats. Life moves through periods of growth, rest, uncertainty and renewal, light and darkness, each one giving way to the next.

I've found a certain comfort in that. No season lasts forever, but will always return. No ending is ever final. Everything continues, just in a different form.
